Acknit Industries Limited manufactures and sells garments, gloves, and other apparels in India. It operates through four segments: Hand Gloves, Garments, Other & Traded Items, and Power generation. The company offers cut and sewn dipped, seamless dipped, cut level 3/5 protection, cut level 5 protection, knitted, Kevlar, Canadian, welder, driver, cut resistant, heat resistant, and Kevlar leather gloves. It also provides leather garments, including jackets, bib trousers, aprons, and arm and leg protectors; work wear comprising trousers, jackets, bib trousers, overalls, aprons, bib aprons, pyjama, vests, caps, waist and lab coats, chinos, shorts, polo shirts, T-shirts, and sweat shirts; and readymade garments. In addition, the company generates power through windmills. It exports its products to European countries. The company was formerly known as Acknit Knitting Limited. Acknit Industries Limited was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Kolkata, India.
