Argent Industrial Limited manufactures and trades in steel and steel-related products in South Africa and internationally. It operates through three segments: Manufacturing, Steel Trading; and Properties. The company offers security gates, burglar bars, roller shutters, sectional doors, and expanding barriers; custom-made adjustable louvre shutters; aircraft refueling vehicles and systems; braai stands and fireplaces; overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment; fuel storage tanks; speed control retarder systems; underground scrapers and wear parts, grizzly frames and segments, and other allied mining equipment; metal gates, metal fencing and railings, timber gates, and metal decking fence panels; and handcrafted wooden gates and garden products; materials handling equipment; roll-over protection bars; and modular buildings, office, mess units, and toilet and shower blocks. It is also involved in manufacturing of ladders, fibreglass ladders, trolleys, as well as distributing castors and accessories; supplying of commercial grades of stainless steel and aluminum in sheets, plates, coils, flats, angles, tubes, and pipes; supplying of ready-mix concrete and mortars, pumping of concrete, and crushed stone products; manufacturing and trading of industrial doors; supplying of raw materials for use in construction and infrastructure industries; and operation of steel service center. The company was incorporated in 1993 and is based in Umhlanga, South Africa.
