Aston Hill Advantage Bond Fund is a closed-ended fixed income mutual fund of fund launched and managed by Aston Hill Asset Management Inc. The fund takes both long and short positions to invest in the fixed income markets of North America. It primarily invests through a forward agreement in units of Aston Hill MBB Trust, which in turn invests in a portfolio of investment grade and high yield corporate bonds, as well as in government bonds. The fund seeks to take short positions on overvalued government bonds and invests proceeds in additional corporate bonds. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against a composite benchmark comprised of 30% DEX Universe All-Corporate Index, 20% Merrill Lynch US Corporate Master Index, and 50% Merrill Lynch US High Yield Master II Index. The fund was formerly known as Manulife Brompton Advantaged Bond Fund. Aston Hill Advantage Bond Fund was formed on April 23, 2009 and is domiciled in Canada.
