Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, operates as an investment holding company in Pakistan, Bahrain, and the Cayman Islands. It operates through Capital Market and Brokerage; Banking; Investment Advisor/Assets Manager; Energy Infrastructure and Petroleum; and Others segments. The Capital Market and Brokerage segment primarily engages in the trading of equity securities; maintenance of strategic and trading portfolios; share, money market, forex, and commodity brokerage activities; and provision of advisory, underwriting, book running, and consultancy services. The Banking segment is involved in providing investment and commercial banking services. The Investment Advisor/Assets Manager segment provides investment advisory and asset management services to various mutual funds and unit trusts. The Energy Infrastructure and Petroleum segment invests in oil marketing sector; and stores petroleum, LPG, and allied products. The Others segment is involved in the provision of telecommunication, media and information technology, research, and corporate finance services, as well as in the power generation, transmission, and distribution activities. It also develops, designs, constructs, builds, owns, operates, maintains, and acquires solar energy, coal fired power generation complex, thermal, hydel, renewable energy, and wind energy projects; maintains housing, transportation, communication and utility lines, and other facilities; and constructs, operates, and maintains power plants, as well as offers life, health, and general insurance products. In addition, the company invests in automotive and engineering sector. Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd. was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
