Methaq Takaful Insurance P.S.C. provides various insurance products and services for individuals and institutions in the United Arab Emirates. It operates through two segments, Underwriting of General Takaful Business and Investments. The company offers personal insurance products, including accident, critical illness, travel and assistance, and residence plus; and personal family assets insurance products, such as motor and home insurance, and Methaq Pleasure Craft Plus. It also provides property insurance comprising fire and perils, property all risks, and business interruption insurance; construction and engineering insurance consisting of contractors and erection all risks, contractors plant and machinery, machinery breakdown, electronic equipment, boilers, and deterioration of stock insurance; general accident insurance; liabilities insurance, such as public and product liability, and professional indemnity insurance for architects, engineers, etc.; marine cargo insurance that comprise singleton, marine open cover, and annual goods in transit insurance; motor fleet insurance; and employee benefit insurance, including health care, workmen compensation, and group personal accident. In addition, the company offers insurance products to small and medium enterprises, such as contents, portable equipment, and stock; money in transit, safe, or premises; employee dishonesty/fidelity guarantee; workmen’s compensation; employer’s liability; public/third party liability; personal accident insurance, as well as additional covers, such as buildings increased cost of working and rent, business interruption, machinery breakdown and deterioration of stock, electronic equipment, and product liability insurance; and retakaful products. Further, it provides civil responsibilities; marine and air transportation dangers insurance; and oil and gas fields and facilities services. The company was incorporated in 2008 and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
