Singer India Limited manufactures and trades in sewing machines and related accessories, and domestic appliances in India. Its sewing machines comprise electronic, embroidery, mechanical, straight stitch, and artisan machines, as well as fashion maker, sewing machine, and carded notions accessories. The company also offers kitchen appliances, such as breakfast kits, cooking and food preparation equipment, microwave ovens, and gas stoves; home appliances consisting of irons, heaters, coolers and fans, mixer grinders, washing machines, sandwich makers and toasters, hand blenders, and refrigerators; and personal care appliances, including hair dryers. It provides its products under the Singer and Merritt brands through its showrooms, shops, distributors, and after sales service network, as well as through an online store. Singer India Limited also exports its products. The company was formerly known as Indian Sewing Machine Company Limited. Singer India Limited was founded in 1851 and is headquartered in New Delhi, India.
