Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Construction & Materials and Pharma & Bio-technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.19% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 5.50% or 0.41 points to trade at 7.96 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC (BR:KBC) added 1.87% or 1.010 points to end at 55.090 and DIeteren SA (BR:IETB) was up 1.81% or 0.550 points to 30.905 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Befimmo-Sicafi (BR:BEFBb), which fell 2.43% or 1.430 points to trade at 57.310 at the close. Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) declined 0.65% or 0.85 points to end at 130.30 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was down 0.14% or 0.14 points to 99.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 108 to 43 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.40 to $1070.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.32% or 0.57 to hit $42.47 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.59% or 0.73 to trade at $45.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.0610, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.7020.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 99.88.
