* The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE fell 93.53 points, or 0.58 percent, to 15,922.61.
* The biggest contributor to the TSX loss was Bank of Nova Scotia BNS.TO with a 25.2 net index points drop. Financials was the top sector drag.
* The biggest percentage decliners were Corus Entertainment Inc CJRb.TO , down 5.0 percent, First Quantum Minerals Ltd FM.TO , down 4.5 percent, and Nevsun Resources Ltd NSU.TO , lower by 3.9 percent.
* Leading the percentage gainers were Gran Tierra Energy Inc GTE.TO , up 4.6 percent, First Majestic Silver Corp FR.TO , up 4.1 percent, and Endeavour Mining Corp EDV.TO , higher by 3.8 percent.
* On the TSX 112 issues advanced and 129 declined as a 0.9-to-1 ratio favored decliners. There were 6 new highs and 2 new lows, with total volume of 196.1 million shares.
* The most heavily traded shares by volume were Bombardier Inc BBDb.TO , Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI) Canada Ltd KML.TO and Canopy Growth Corp WEED.TO .
* The TSX's energy group .SPTTEN rose 1.47 points, or 0.75 percent, while the financials sector .SPTTFS slipped 5.43 points, or 1.8 percent.
* West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 fell 1.55 percent, or $1.05, to $66.83 a barrel. Brent crude LCOc1 rose 0.07 percent, or $0.05, to $75.35 O/R
* The TSX is off 1.8 percent for the year.
