TORONTO, July 14 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Friday, as gold miners, buoyed by stronger bullion prices, led the climb.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 35.24 points, or 0.23 percent, to 15,170.24 shortly after the open.
Seven of the index's 10 main sectors advanced.
