July 31 (Reuters) - Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for Canada's main stock index on Tuesday ahead of the release of the country's growth data for May that is likely to show economy grew at a higher pace compared to April.
September futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were up 0.47 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET.
Gross domestic product data for May is due at 8:30 a.m. ET
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE fell 48.48 points, or 0.30 percent, to 16,345.47. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were up 0.12 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were up 0.24 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were up 0.26 percent. .N
