Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.63% or 260.0 points to trade at 10160.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 1.70% or 300.0 points to end at 17940.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.08% or 200.0 points to 18700.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 2.14% or 30.0 points to trade at 1375.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 1.96% or 280.0 points to end at 14020.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 1.75% or 420.0 points to 23580.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 9 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.65% or 0.95 to $145.62 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 2.61% or 78.00 to hit $3067.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 1.47% or 19.75 to trade at $1358.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.72% to 2982.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.66% to 903.16.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 96.28.
