** Banks are preparing to sell down a 647-million-pound ($853 million) leveraged loan financing backing the acquisition of UK-based software firm Civica by Swiss asset manager Partners Group, banking sources said.
Thyssenkrupp TKAG.DE may reach an agreement in principle this month to merge its European steel business with that of Tata Steel TISC.NS, the group said, adding talks were constructive and had entered the final stretch.
Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has completed a deal to buy a 49 percent stake in Chinese asset management company Fortune SG from French bank Societe Generale SOGN.PA, the companies said.
