Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.54% or 1910 points to trade at 77080 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 2.45% or 52 points to end at 2173 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.44% or 40 points to 1677 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which lost 2.98% or 41 points to trade at 1336 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.64% or 59 points to end at 2178 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) shed 2.03% or 500 points to 24100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 181 and 19 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.04% or 0.46 to $44.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.05% or 0.49 to hit $47.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 4.95 to trade at $1208.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.63% to 3.5702, while EUR/ILS rose 0.80% to 4.0768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.82.
