Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Real Estate and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 2.64% or 219 points to trade at 8529 at the close. Cellcom (TA:CEL) added 2.54% or 96 points to end at 3880 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) was up 2.11% or 72 points to 3485 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which lost 0.90% or 190 points to trade at 20940 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 0.89% or 26 points to end at 2910 and Teva (TA:TEVA) shed 0.49% or 60 points to 12160.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 206 to 175 and 77 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1233.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.6260, while EUR/ILS fell 0.14% to 3.8994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.08.
