Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which rose 5.67% or 0.360 points to trade at 6.620 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 5.15% or 0.650 points to end at 13.140 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 4.95% or 1.69 points to 35.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 1.05% or 0.270 points to trade at 25.380 at the close. Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) declined 1.02% or 0.260 points to end at 25.350 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) was down 0.96% or 0.210 points to 21.640.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 93 to 61 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.05% or 0.270 to 25.380.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.21% or 14.00 to $1139.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.08% or 0.80 to hit $39.03 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.26 to trade at $42.95 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.00% to 17.2000, while EUR/MXN fell 0.95% to 19.7940.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 93.92.
