Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 3.00% or 4.05 points to trade at 139.05 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 2.64% or 8 points to end at 294 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 2.19% or 13.10 points to 610.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 5.41% or 1.40 points to trade at 24.50 in late trade. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 4.62% or 2.45 points to end at 50.55 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 3.64% or 5.90 points to 156.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.35% or 0.17 to $49.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.13 to trade at $1277.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 11.1330, while USD/MAD rose 0.01% to 9.4810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.51.
