Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which rose 1.37% or 0.0720 points to trade at 5.3230 at the close. Montepio (LS:MPIO) added 1.23% or 0.012 points to end at 0.990 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.16% or 0.1950 points to 16.9800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 2.02% or 0.1120 points to trade at 5.4350 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.69% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.8700 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.35% or 0.0130 points to 0.9490.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.64% or 1.27 to $46.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.66% or 1.21 to hit $44.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.98% or 11.94 to trade at $1211.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1407, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.76.
