Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.36% or 0.79 points to trade at 34.00 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 2.32% or 1.4 points to end at 64.0 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 2.08% or 1.25 points to 61.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 4.53% or 0.24 points to trade at 5.06 in late trade. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 2.61% or 0.2 points to end at 7.5 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 1.83% or 2.5 points to 133.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 76 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.51% or 1.35 to $39.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.31% or 0.93 to hit $41.26 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 2.92% or 35.90 to trade at $1265.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 9.4410, while USD/NOK fell 1.39% to 8.3381.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.01% at 94.73.
