Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Banking and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 6.08% or 0.5 points to trade at 8.9 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 3.07% or 1.10 points to end at 36.90 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.88% or 0.5 points to 17.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 3.88% or 0.5 points to trade at 11.2 in late trade. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) declined 2.21% or 0.46 points to end at 20.36 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.92% or 5.7 points to 291.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.61% or 1.15 to $45.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.05% or 0.94 to hit $46.82 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.98% or 12.95 to trade at $1331.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.00% to 9.2618, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.2986.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.77.
