Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.64% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.70% or 1.04 points to trade at 19.29 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 4.90% or 1.50 points to end at 32.10 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.86% or 0.4 points to 14.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 7.94% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.18 in late trade. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.28% or 0.27 points to end at 20.85 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) shed 0.55% or 0.8 points to 145.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 52 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.29% or 1.01 to $45.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.71 to hit $47.54 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.35 to trade at $1331.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.41% to 9.2421, while USD/NOK fell 0.33% to 8.2874.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.74.
