Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.83% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI), which rose 4.59% or 4.10 points to trade at 93.50 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 1.96% or 5.80 points to end at 302.40 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 1.90% or 1.30 points to 69.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which lost 3.50% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.86 in late trade. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.70% or 0.63 points to end at 36.36 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 0.94% or 2.6 points to 275.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 81 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.64% or 0.42 to $66.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $76.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1305.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.4775, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 8.0322.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.48.
