Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Telecoms and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 9.23% or 0.58 points to trade at 6.87 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 7.55% or 0.44 points to end at 6.27 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 4.51% or 1.02 points to 22.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which lost 1.27% or 0.39 points to trade at 30.30 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 1.12% or 0.3 points to end at 26.4 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) shed 0.70% or 0.1 points to 8.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 69 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.64% or 0.65 to $40.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.96% or 0.82 to hit $42.76 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.23% or 15.30 to trade at $1259.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.3580, while USD/NOK fell 0.35% to 8.2022.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 93.98.
