Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.10% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 8.68% or 23.00 points to trade at 288.00 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 4.54% or 12.30 points to end at 283.00 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 3.97% or 1.15 points to 30.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI), which lost 1.60% or 1.45 points to trade at 89.25 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.53% or 0.78 points to end at 50.06 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 0.39% or 1.80 points to 464.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 78 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.41% or 0.98 to $70.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.84% or 1.38 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1314.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.6001, while USD/NOK fell 0.06% to 8.0499.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 92.58.
