Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 5.61% or 11.50 points to trade at 216.60 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 5.41% or 0.03 points to end at 0.61 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 5.39% or 4.6 points to 90.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which lost 2.04% or 8.80 points to trade at 423.60 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.79% or 2.00 points to end at 110.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 1.52% or 1.1 points to 71.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 123 to 55 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.48% or 1.25 to $51.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.69% or 1.59 to hit $60.63 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1228.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.10% to 9.7368, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 8.5894.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 96.938.
