Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 8.62% or 2.5 points to trade at 31.5 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 8.15% or 2.60 points to end at 34.32 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 4.91% or 1.6 points to 34.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 3.26% or 1.24 points to trade at 36.81 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 2.65% or 8.0 points to end at 293.5 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 2.44% or 6.3 points to 253.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 84 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.55% or 0.78 to $51.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.81% or 0.93 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.30% or 16.25 to trade at $1263.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.2460, while USD/NOK rose 0.04% to 8.1134.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 93.52.
