Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Telecoms and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 14.73% or 0.53 points to trade at 4.10 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 3.35% or 4.40 points to end at 135.90 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 2.74% or 0.80 points to 30.03 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.28% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.11 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.70% or 0.29 points to end at 16.73 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.35% or 3.0 points to 218.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 81 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.22% or 0.56 to $46.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.00% or 0.48 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.23 to trade at $1268.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.4877, while USD/NOK fell 0.36% to 8.4685.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.22.
