Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Telecoms and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 9.25% or 2.70 points to trade at 31.90 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 6.34% or 1.49 points to end at 24.99 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 4.73% or 1.3 points to 29.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.04% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.77 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 1.07% or 0.07 points to end at 6.46 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) shed 1.04% or 0.40 points to 38.05.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 65 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.76% or 0.38 to $50.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.57 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.05 to trade at $1244.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.47% to 9.2341, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 8.1326.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 93.87.
