Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 1.79% or 0.5 points to trade at 27.8 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.01% or 0.24 points to end at 24.04 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was up 0.75% or 0.50 points to 67.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 6.78% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.74 in late trade. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 4.04% or 0.4 points to end at 9.5 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.64% or 0.05 points to 1.88.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 77 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.07% or 0.53 to $49.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.52% or 0.26 to hit $50.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1217.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.25% to 9.3180, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 8.3660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.78.
