Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Auto & components and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 2.22% or 0.46 points to trade at 21.15 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.74% or 5.3 points to end at 309.6 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.65% or 0.61 points to 37.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.83% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.08 in late trade. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 2.80% or 0.2 points to end at 8.3 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 2.32% or 0.82 points to 34.49.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 73 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.71% or 1.69 to $47.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.46% or 1.66 to hit $49.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.43% or 5.85 to trade at $1343.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.2285, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.1963.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.00.
