Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Telecoms and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.5 points to trade at 12.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) added 2.04% or 18.0 points to end at 902.0 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 1.70% or 2.00 points to 119.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 5.56% or 1.8 points to trade at 30.6 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 3.10% or 1.1 points to end at 34.4 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) was down 2.82% or 0.05 points to 1.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 82 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.56% or 1.8 to 30.6. Shares in Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) rose to all time highs; up 2.04% or 18.0 to 902.0. Shares in Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.70% or 2.00 to 119.60.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 2.96% or 1.12 to $36.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.77% or 1.04 to hit $36.74 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.71% or 7.60 to trade at $1060.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.99% to 9.6149, while USD/NOK rose 1.01% to 8.8119.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.42.
