Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which rose 3.24% or 1.10 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) added 2.14% or 1.40 points to end at 66.90 and Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR) was up 1.69% or 6.8 points to 408.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which fell 8.10% or 0.15 points to trade at 1.68 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) declined 7.02% or 3.2 points to end at 42.4 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) was down 4.01% or 1.52 points to 36.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 81 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 7.02% or 3.2 to 42.4.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.00% or 0.51 to $50.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.76% or 0.43 to hit $56.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 2.02% or 22.90 to trade at $1109.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 8.9195, while USD/NOK rose 0.57% to 8.2192.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.99.
