Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.05% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 6.23% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 2.35% or 8.6 points to end at 374.5 and Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) was up 1.47% or 1.50 points to 103.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which fell 3.29% or 1.00 points to trade at 29.40 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) declined 2.92% or 0.91 points to end at 10.80 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was down 2.89% or 1.05 points to 35.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 88 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) fell to all time lows; falling 2.92% or 0.91 to 10.80.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.68% or 0.29 to $42.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.22% or 0.10 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1115.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.48% to 9.1390, while USD/NOK rose 0.97% to 8.2895.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.06.
