Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 4.37% or 7.500 points to trade at 179.000 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 3.78% or 1.000 points to end at 27.450 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 3.77% or 28.000 points to 771.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which lost 4.18% or 59.000 points to trade at 1351.000 in late trade. GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) declined 1.23% or 15.000 points to end at 1205.000 and JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) shed 0.92% or 0.650 points to 70.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 77 and 54 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.31% or 3.85 to $1227.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.37% or 0.17 to hit $45.74 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.30% or 0.14 to trade at $46.77 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 8.14% to 7.2038, while USD/PHP rose 9.41% to 49.504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 100.21.
