Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 1.48% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP), which rose 6.30% or 2.90 points to trade at 48.90 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 4.81% or 2.800 points to end at 61.000 and Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) was up 4.69% or 0.220 points to 4.910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX), which lost 1.21% or 0.090 points to trade at 7.350 in late trade. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 0.33% or 8.000 points to end at 2400.000 and SM Investments Corp (PS:SM) shed 0.20% or 2.000 points to 980.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 123 to 80 and 37 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.30% or 3.70 to $1243.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $49.84 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.18 to trade at $50.73 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.30% to 7.0156, while USD/PHP fell 0.18% to 46.105.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 93.86.
