Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Property and Mining & Oil sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 2.15% or 0.650 points to trade at 30.950 at the close. JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 1.88% or 1.400 points to end at 76.000 and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) was up 1.69% or 1.300 points to 78.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT), which lost 4.58% or 3.90 points to trade at 81.30 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 2.06% or 5.000 points to end at 238.000 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) shed 2.03% or 0.750 points to 36.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 65 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.75 to $1266.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $49.57 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.07 to trade at $50.40 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.08% to 7.1565, while USD/PHP rose 0.02% to 48.512.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 98.87.
