Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Property, Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which rose 0.54% or 10.75 points to trade at 2000.00 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 159.00 and SM Investments Corp (PS:SM) was up 0.13% or 1.00 points to 779.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which lost 2.83% or 0.700 points to trade at 24.050 in late trade. Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) declined 2.72% or 1.050 points to end at 37.550 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) shed 2.44% or 5.00 points to 200.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 75 and 52 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.16% or 1.97 to $1256.73 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.33% or 0.16 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.16 to trade at $52.05 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.10% to 7.2350, while USD/PHP rose 0.18% to 49.840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 97.50.
