WARSAW, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Poland's grid operator PSE said
that it maintained on Thursday easy consumption limits for the
biggest power consumers.
It said it would maintain from 0800 GMT until 2000 GMT
so-called 11th degree of power supply on a scale from 11 to 20.
The 11th degree means the easiest limits where companies are
allowed to consume power up to their contracted levels.
PSE said that it expected to keep that level of supply until
at least 0800 GMT on Friday.
The operator was able to keep the lowest level of limits as
one of the largest power blocks of the lignite-fired PGE's
PGE.WA Belchatow plant is expected return to the grid at 0700
GMT on Thursday after an outage.
A heatwave has forced Poland to sharply cut electricity
supply to industry for the first time in more than a decade
because of a lack of sufficient amount of water in rivers to
cool coal-fired plants, forcing some companies to limit
production.
