Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.31% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 11.96% or 0.2100 points to trade at 1.9660 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 2.63% or 0.1450 points to end at 5.6500 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was up 2.32% or 0.0215 points to 0.9485 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 2.07% or 0.180 points to trade at 8.500 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.96% or 0.2500 points to end at 12.5300 and Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) shed 1.22% or 0.100 points to 8.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.08% or 0.57 to hit $53.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.75 to trade at $1279.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1301, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 96.303.
