Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 11.51% or 0.0450 points to trade at 0.4360 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.45% or 0.1900 points to end at 13.2900 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.13% or 0.105 points to 9.430 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REN (LS:RENE), which lost 1.32% or 0.0350 points to trade at 2.6080 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.15% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.6860 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.57% or 0.0300 points to 5.2500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.07% or 1.15 to $56.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.91% or 1.01 to hit $54.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1234.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0642, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 100.69.
