Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.42% or 0.1000 points to trade at 4.2260 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.16% or 0.1650 points to end at 14.4000 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.81% or 0.0180 points to 2.2380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 8.85% or 0.0300 points to trade at 0.3090 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 1.23% or 0.0380 points to end at 3.0470 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) shed 1.12% or 0.1850 points to 16.3000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.15% or 0.08 to $53.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $50.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1281.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8386.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.54.
