Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power, Telecoms and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX lost 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the MICEX were DIXY Group ao (MCX:DIXY), which rose 3.39% or 11.00 points to trade at 335.10 at the close. Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) added 2.76% or 11.70 points to end at 436.00 and Yandex NV (MCX:YNDX) was up 2.74% or 52.00 points to 1950.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Magnit (MCX:MGNT), which lost 4.10% or 329.0 points to trade at 7693.0 in late trade. Aeroflot (MCX:AFLT) declined 2.36% or 4.35 points to end at 180.00 and FSK EES (MCX:FEES) shed 1.92% or 0.0031 points to 0.1580.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 94 and 18 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 3.28% to 16.510.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.59% or 7.50 to $1270.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $54.20 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.17 to trade at $60.76 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.67% to 58.3600, while EUR/RUB rose 0.71% to 68.0200.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.43.
