Stocks - Biogen, Tencent Fall in Pre-market; Micron Rises

Investing.com - Stocks in focus in premarket trade Thursday:

· Micron (NASDAQ:MU) stock gained 3.7% by 8:15 AM ET (12:15 GMT) after it updated its forecasts for the year, citing growing data center chip demand.

· Biogen (NASDAQ:BIIB) stock slumped 27.9% after reports that it has ended trials for an Alhzheimer’s drug called Aducanumab.

· Tencent Holdings Ltd (OTC:TCTZF) stock fell 3.0% after the Chinese company's earnings fell sharply in the fourth quarter, hit by a regulatory moratorium on its publishing new games and by a sharp increase in research and development spending.

· Walmart (NYSE:WMT) stock inched down 0.5% after news that its Chief Technology Officer Jeremy King is leaving the company, after helping shape the company's online presence.

. Williams-Sonoma (NYSE:WSM) stock jumped 2.9% after the retailer's outlook for 2019 was better than expected.

· Nike (NYSE:NKE) stock rose 0.7% ahead of its third-quarter earnings report after the closing bell.

· Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock was down 1.3% after reports that its price increase will not be as high as expected, according to Electrek.

· Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) stock fell 2.6% after regulators and politicians pushed back against the possibility of it merging with Commerzbank (DE:CBKG). Deutsche CEO Christian Sewing said he sees a "strong case" for a merger.

· Boeing (NYSE:BA) stock slipped 0.6% amid news that the FBI is joining a criminal investigation on the certification process for the company's best-selling 737 Max 8 jet after two crashes involving the model left hundreds dead.
