Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Food & Beverages and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 11.60% or 0.810 points to trade at 7.790 at the close. Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC) added 9.55% or 0.210 points to end at 2.410 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 7.34% or 2.90 points to 42.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB), which lost 13.11% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.060 in late trade. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 3.18% or 0.070 points to end at 2.130 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) shed 2.86% or 0.010 points to 0.340.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 141 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.13% or 1.70 to $1297.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.28% or 0.84 to hit $64.97 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.46% or 1.12 to trade at $75.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.04% to 4.6029, while EUR/TRY fell 0.74% to 5.3839.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.03.
