Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Tourism and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.39% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which rose 10.08% or 2.42 points to trade at 26.42 at the close. Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) added 6.37% or 4.30 points to end at 71.80 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 5.96% or 0.180 points to 3.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which lost 2.89% or 0.090 points to trade at 3.020 in late trade. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 2.33% or 0.010 points to end at 0.420 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 1.69% or 0.36 points to 20.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 186 to 140 and 78 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.11% or 1.32 to $1217.78 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.23% or 0.56 to hit $46.05 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.19% or 0.57 to trade at $48.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.5713, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 4.0696.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.65.
