It also manufactures TRACER 1000, an explosive trace detectors and narcotic trace detectors for use in security and detection at airports, border checkpoints, cargo hubs, infrastructure security, correctional facilities, military bases, and law enforcement centers; and develops a series of mass spectrometers, including AgLAB 1000 and AgLAB 1000-D2, used in the hemp and cannabis market. In addition, the company offers BreathTest-1000, a breath analysis tool designed to screen for volatile organic compound metabolites found in a person’s breath that could indicate a compromised condition; Pro-Control Maximum Value Processing and Pro-Control 1000-D2 mass spectrometer; and instruments built for environmental testing comprising EN-SCAN Handheld GC, EN-SCAN Fenceline Monitor, and EN-SCAN Rugged Lab GC-MS. The company was formerly known as SPACEHAB, Inc. and changed its name to Astrotech Corporation in 2009. The company was incorporated in 1984 and is based in Austin, Texas.
