Sept 15 (Reuters) - British Columbia said on Thursday that it expects a 2016-2017 budget surplus of C$1.9 billion ($1.45 billion), well above the C$264 million it had forecast in February, helped by stronger-than-expected revenue.
The government of the Canadian province said revenue is forecast to improve by almost C$2.5 billion compared to the expectations in the budget, helped by a robust economy, higher corporate income tax revenue and property transfer tax revenue. ($1 = 1.3138 Canadian dollars)
