Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Trade and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.16% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which rose 20.44% or 28 points to trade at 165 at the close. Reliance Securities Tbk (JK:RELI) added 20.00% or 70 points to end at 420 and Unggul Indah Cahaya Tbk (JK:UNIC) was up 18.85% or 230.00 points to 1450.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lionmesh Prima Tbk (JK:LMSH), which lost 9.40% or 55 points to trade at 530 in late trade. Exploitasi Energi Indonesia (JK:CNKO) declined 9.21% or 7 points to end at 69 and Batavia Prosperindo Finance (JK:BPFI) shed 8.93% or 50.00 points to 510.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 160 to 138 and 93 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.10% or 0.04 to $40.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.14% or 0.06 to hit $41.48 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.73% or 9.20 to trade at $1255.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.65% to 13104.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.15% to 10033.65.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 95.08.
