Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.59% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 6.32% or 121 points to trade at 2036 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.97% or 4.6 points to end at 159.7 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) was up 1.94% or 35 points to 1841 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.41% or 9.5 points to trade at 384.0 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 1.82% or 340 points to end at 18350 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 1.26% or 980 points to 76500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 194 to 190 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.20% or 0.15 to $74.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.61% or 0.48 to hit $78.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.20 to trade at $1254.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.6366, while EUR/ILS fell 0.05% to 4.2625.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 94.00.
