Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which rose 1.89% or 8.81 points to trade at 475.55 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) added 1.31% or 2.57 points to end at 198.08 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was up 1.22% or 2.16 points to 178.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which lost 2.97% or 4.92 points to trade at 160.71 in late trade. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 2.73% or 0.990 points to end at 35.320 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) shed 2.36% or 0.480 points to 19.880.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 131 to 90 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.39% or 17.98 to $1315.88 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.40% or 1.15 to hit $46.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.46 to trade at $51.52 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.37% to 17.8543, while EUR/MXN rose 1.78% to 21.3841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
