Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA), which rose 3.31% or 6.38 points to trade at 199.19 at the close. BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA) added 1.75% or 2.03 points to end at 117.99 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) was up 1.60% or 2.110 points to 133.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 2.62% or 0.440 points to trade at 16.330 in late trade. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.51% or 8.29 points to end at 321.99 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) shed 2.34% or 1.520 points to 63.560.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 152 to 112 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 7.80 to $1195.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.96% or 1.41 to hit $73.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 1.56 to trade at $82.94 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.33% to 18.7253, while EUR/MXN fell 0.60% to 21.7341.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.78.
